Society of Divine Farmers, The (Shen2 Nong2 Bang1 神农帮) - a group of people who collected and sold medicinal flora and fauna for a living. Became hostile towards The Boundless Sword after it was not allowed to collect medicinal flora from the mountains behind the Palace of the Lake of Swords. Attacked The Boundless Sword on the orders of Misty Peak's Palace of the Gifted Vulture (Chapter 1). A vassal entity of the Palace of the Gifted Vulture for 8 years (Chapter 5).
Its members, dressed in yellow (Chapter 1), included:
- Sikong Xuan 司空玄 - leader of the Society of Divine Farmers; a victim of the Talisman of Life and Death. Thin and small-built old man with a goatee; had roamed the realm of the rivers and lakes for forty years at the point of his appearance in the story. Did not like anyone to interfere with the affairs of his Society. Chopped his own right arm off after he was bitten by the Lightning Marten in a bid to stop the poison from spreading (Chapter 1). Jumped into the Lancang River in suicide after the antidote for the Talisman of Life and Death was withheld from him for that year (Chapter 5).

Abode of the Yellow-Browed Monk (Chapter 8). Other monks at the temple included:
- Poyi 破疑 - eldest disciple of the Yellow-Browed Monk; went with him to the Valley of Ten Thousand Calamities (Chapter 8). Considered by the Emperor Baoding as being "not weak" in martial arts. Struck down by Duan Yanqing (i.e. became immobilised through the sealing of acupoints) when he tried to assist the Yellow-Browed Monk. Had his acupoints unblocked by Duan Zhengchun (Chapter 9).
- Pochen 破嗔 - second disciple of the Yellow-Browed Monk; went with him to the Valley of Ten Thousand Calamities. Good at chess. All its members took an oath under the instructions of the emissary not to reveal anything to anyone about the (Boundless) Jade Wall and the silhouettes of the Sword Deities that had been seen on it (Chapter 5).
